Murmur AI is here
The first public release of Murmur AI for Mac: hold a key, talk, and finished writing lands where your cursor already is.

Murmur AI is out. It is a small app that sits in your Mac's menu bar and does one thing: turns the way you talk into writing you can actually send.
Why we built it
Dictation has technically worked for years, and almost nobody uses it. The reason is simple — a transcript is not writing. You get every false start, every “um”, no punctuation, and a tidy-up job that takes about as long as typing would have.
Murmur AI does the tidy-up for you. It listens to a whole thought, works out what you were driving at, and writes it properly: a sendable email, a two-line message, or a set of tidy notes.
What is in the first release
Hold-to-talk on any key you like, five writing shapes, a custom dictionary for names and jargon, and speech recognition that runs entirely on your Mac. No audio is uploaded, and it keeps working with the wifi off.
What comes next
More languages, a shortcut for re-shaping text you have already written, and better handling of long dictation. We will post each update here.
